Oceans Edge Resort offers a quieter island getaway on Carabao Island in San Jose, Romblon, with sea-facing villas, an infinity pool, and sunset views. Our advertising work focused on introducing that experience to prospective guests and giving them clear ways to inquire or book directly.
From June 5 to July 31, 2026, OLWC managed Meta advertising to support resort discovery, Messenger inquiries, and visits to the resort’s booking journey. We also refreshed supporting organic content to keep the resort’s social presence consistent with its current offers.
Project Challenges
The resort’s setting gave us strong material to work with, but the advertising needed to communicate why guests would choose Oceans Edge Resort for their next island stay.
Pool photographs, villa interiors, and coastal views could attract attention. The next step was to connect that interest with useful information and a clear action, whether a guest wanted to ask questions first or check available accommodation online.
There was also an existing content issue. Older Facebook posts displayed fixed promotional rates that could differ from the rates guests later encountered in the booking engine. Keeping the advertising and supporting content aligned became part of the work.

Project Objectives
Our goal was to bring more prospective guests into the resort’s direct inquiry and reservation channels while presenting a consistent picture of the property.
This meant developing creative around the resort experience, supporting different ways to inquire and book, and reviewing booking records alongside advertising activity to understand what happened beyond the initial click.
Our Approach
1. Building the Creative Around the Stay
We shaped the creative direction around experiences guests could picture themselves enjoying: time by the infinity pool, a room overlooking the sea, a private balcony, or dinner at sunset.
The sample story creatives paired resort photography with short descriptions and book-direct messaging. Each composition focused on a particular part of the stay, giving the imagery room to communicate the atmosphere without crowding it with information.
This approach also gave us several relevant themes for future campaigns, including accommodation, dining, romantic stays, and a quieter island escape.

Creative direction for Oceans Edge Resort, highlighting the experiences guests can enjoy during their stay.
2. Supporting Both Inquiries and Online Booking
Guests do not all make accommodation decisions in the same way. Some want to ask about travel arrangements or room options before reserving. Others are ready to check rates and availability immediately.
The campaign included a Messenger inquiry phase from June 5 to July 4, followed by a direct promotional landing-page phase from July 9 to July 31.
The initial reporting period recorded 8k+ link clicks, while the later landing-page phase recorded approximately 1,8k+ landing page views. These are different measures of activity, showing how guests interacted with the available inquiry and browsing paths.
Our approach gave interested guests a next step suited to their stage of planning, while keeping direct reservations central to the campaign.
3. Keeping Social Content Consistent With Current Rates
Supporting the ads also meant reviewing what guests would find when they visited the resort’s Facebook page.
Older promotional posts contained visible fixed prices. Those posts could create uncertainty when guests compared them with current rates in the Live IPMS Booking Engine.
OLWC refreshed the organic feed at no additional charge, beyond the paid advertising scope. Fresh posts brought attention back to the resort’s accommodation and island setting, helping reduce reliance on older promotional material.
The supporting content emphasized the experience and encouraged guests to check current offers. This gave the advertising a more consistent social presence to lead into.
The organic posts also provided useful audience feedback. The pool-and-room collage recorded 77 reactions, 15 comments, and 28 shares, while the quieter-island accommodation collage received 29 shares.
These responses helped identify resort stories worth developing further. Organic engagement is reported separately from paid advertising results.
4. Looking Beyond the Advertising Click
We reviewed booking-engine activity alongside the advertising results to understand whether guests were progressing further into the reservation journey.
The first report compared May 5–June 4 with June 5–July 4, 2026, using records assigned to the Internet Booking Engine.
This showed a stronger level of booking-engine activity during the campaign month, while keeping the distinction between a guest expressing interest and completing a confirmed reservation.

Booking-engine activity increased from one record to ten across the two reporting periods, including two confirmed reservations during the campaign month.
The Outcome
Across the full June 5–July 31, 2026 campaign period, Meta advertising recorded:
- 10k+ link clicks
- 9k+ people reached
- 139k+ impressions
The resort’s booking-source report provided a separate view of confirmed reservation activity during the same period.
Together, PMS, Internet Booking Engine, and Walk-in sources recorded [redacted data] confirmed bookings, representing [redacted data] room nights and approximately ₱[redacted data] in confirmed revenue, including taxes.
These direct and owned source groups accounted for approximately 53% of confirmed revenue in the report. Agoda and CTrip together accounted for the remaining 47%.
For Oceans Edge Resort, the work brought together experience-focused advertising, clearer supporting social content, and a closer review of direct reservation activity.
The campaign generated measurable traffic and established useful creative themes for future promotions, while the booking reports gave the resort a clearer basis for reviewing inquiries and confirmed reservations separately.
We received a sudden volume of inquiries in our Facebook Messenger where we never even thought would happen.
